Amo Pads was founded by Lethabo Moshidi, with the philosophy that young women should not miss school or delay their education due to period poverty.

Lethabo came from a rural area and currently runs a ministry in Tembisa where she saw girls from disadvantaged backgrounds missing school, understands the financial strain of buying sanitary products.

Lethabo was pregnant with her son & started a sanitary pads drive in the ministry for people to buy and donate pads to high school girls in Tembisa. Amo (short for Tshiamo), Tshiamo passed on after 7 weeks he was born and the vision turned in to passion. A week after he was laid to rest, we approached a sanitary pads manufacturer & that is how Amo Pads was born.
